Hmm...I think I get what's going on with the contest. And unfortunately, if I'm right, it means I didn't win. Not even one of the $1000 prizes.

I am almost sure that I got a confirmation e-mail that said that they would announce a winner on the 17th or 18th. It could easily have said that they would choose a winner on the 17th or 18th. I can't swear I remember either way.

So, say they did say that they would choose the winner on the 17th, but are now saying they will announce "the last week in September". That would suggest to me that they have called or e-mailed the winners; they're getting pictures, bios and legal releases and all that in the meantime.

:( I have received no phone call or email. Well! That just means I have to get my two almost ran and several more recipes completely done and beautifully photographed well before the contest opens next year.

You will be pleased to know that I have recently acquired a bag of proper, very recently roasted coffee and a drip brewer. So I have just enjoyed my first non-instant home brewed coffee in years.
