And a pub which tried to be a metal pub mutated to a Neo-Nazi one.
I think people are too stratified here.
Heidelberg, with the oldest university in Germany, is totally about culture and stuff.
The people who live here are universtiy students and university professors.
And some rich people who own the houses and rent them to students.
There are many theaters here, etc.
But not much place for metalheads.
And then there is Mannheim, 10 streetcar stops away.
A city with a very high immigrant quote.
They have lots of international stuff there.
But the blue-colar and middle-class Germans aren't around.
And it's their kids who are mostly into metal.
Oh, I just noticed how late it is
I have to work tomorrow.
I think I'll go quickly to bed now.

Gave me the idea to go out more?
I even think I found something like a rock bar in Mannheim.
Maybe it isn't completely a rock bar, the web page isn't so informative.
Probably worth a try.

Not so sure.
I have a complete evening to lose.
And if there are cities in Germany where girls shouldn't walk around alone at night, I'd probably count Mannheim as one of these.
Not too bad I think, but not entirely peaceful.
The place itself seems rather central, the point is that it could be another neonazi-masking-as-rock pub.
I am white, but it is obvious that I'm not German. Maybe not always from the looks, but they'll hear it when I ask for a beer.

If it's really a neo-nazibar, I think you'll see that the moment you step inside.
I advise you to turn around and go back as fast as you can :)

Oh, I think it'll be OK.
Seems to be too big for a neonazi bar.
Just running a complete risk analysis here, it isn't something all that probable.
Although, they do have "information about fascho-music" in a collection of semi-random links
Anyway, I have closed everything but the browser.
