"Mansplain"ing is a real thing on Twitter at least. If you haven't noticed the distinct tendency of random guys on twitter to think they know more about a subject than any female whose timeline they blundered into, simply because she's female and thus clearly can't know more than them, you haven't been there much.

What's really aggravating is when guys jump in to defend her, and they get listened to, even though they are saying the same damn thing.
