@Semaphore I had a question regarding some recent comments posted after a question is asked. Do you happen to know why there is a comment posted directing the OP to Wikipedia rather than the question actually being answered? Why not answer the question and then site the Wikipedia site in the answer? I was just curious if you knew anything about this. Thanks in advance.

@steelerfan If a question is fully answered by wikipedia, it is considered trivially answered, which is a close reason on history.se. If the question is not fully answered by wikipedia, we encourage the asker to explain why he finds the wiki answer incomplete.

That's the intent. Or it gets closed because everyone's satisfied by the wiki answer.
