@GNi33 Oh man, you should read some Peter Watson and his glaring critique of German historiography being focused purely on the 12 year Nazi era of Germany..

@HarleyHolcombe I personally agree that focusing blame for the actions of a nation at war on one person is ludicris, but sadly, such is modern politics, historical fallacy and all. Now, if it read instead "Did Nazi Germany declare war on..." that'd be perfect, all bases covered with the same intent/message.

I committed as an "avid enthusiast or prosumer"; most of my knowledge (or at least the stuff I still remember) comes from Wikipedia in the first place, so I don't know how I can help.

There are a lot of un-cited answers that I suspect would just be citing Wikipedia if they were honest.

Yep ... agree about the general reference stuff. I would like to see answers that have broken into their personal libraries more than references to Wikipedia ...
