Pratik BhatIt is known that Hinduism is one of the oldest religions. But why is it so difficult to date the beginning of Hinduism. We have a lot of scriptures and texts which give us a lot of information but why are scholars still debating as to when Hinduism actually began?

Q: Significance of facing East

RBKWhen I was brought up, I was told to face East when starting some new task or while doing prayers or chanting mantras. My guess is that it might have come out of ancient sun worship as sun rises in the east. Is there any real significance for considering the Eastern direction to be auspicious?

About the copy paste issue.

What about it?

I think we should definitely have that as low quality and if possible have a special flag for it
Simple, copy pasted. No deal.

Copy paste from elsewhere or other posts?

Use it as reference, deal.
Elsewhere

Hm, quote it, cite it and develop from it.

8:44 AM
As Shog said on his post
Exactly
the point is to use the references and add to them
compile things from multiple references
that's how you create answers

But we need interesting questions for that.

not search on google and pick the first legitimate thing you see.

Which I can't come up with.

@Mr_Green Exactly, I upvoted and flagged for mod attn.
