Q: Pretest veracrypt

DijangosophdjRecently I did my first OS or full drive encryption with veracrypt. During the pretest boot screen where one has to enter his password and pincode, my pc lost current. I rebooted in order to show the same boot menu but now I think it's stuck because it is not changing after the password verificat...

This site is not on SMS, please do not use abbreviations. And also describe better what happened, with more details.

Time to recover from the disk image you must have made prior to attempting encryption. If you didn't, then reinstall an operating system, and all applications.

Weren't you in the process of reinstalling anyway? superuser.com/questions/1827935/… If you don't have a full understanding of how encryption works and its consequences, it's recommended not to use it, especially not 3rd party products (Windows or any mainstream Linux distro have their own native encryption methods). PS - Other than not using abbreviations as mentioned above, users are supposed to accept useful answers.

@ChanganAuto yea and thanks to u and a yt video i did manage to reinstall then i figured y not try encrypting it like the orginal owner did so i researched how to use veracrypt understood somewhat cliked some option gave a short password tgeb it showed to do the pretest but now i am stuck in the boot thing btw i do accept ur answer i dont mean to be rude in anyway
@DrMoishePippik does reinstalling mean all my data that i ported from my other pc gone forever or is it still recoverable or os it just permenantly gone and corrupted so that i should do the whole process again?
@harrymc understood I will try to do bettr nxt time of i have a question

One of the problems with encryption is it being extremely sensitive to file system corruption. Without encryption logical errors stemming from the power cut you mentioned can usually be corrected but no chance with encryption, especially not with 3rd parties like Veracrypt. So, you'll have to reinstall as already mentioned.
And, yes, all data is lost when it doesn't boot in such situations. That's exactly the problem with encryption. You should have backups anyways but with encryption that's a must,

@ChanganAuto but this was a pretest so i dont think anything was being encrypted i just restarted the pc and now back on the same screen i did choose the most secure options tho like the one on the yt vid like serpant thing and disk wipe something
@ChanganAuto u mean like the files cannot be recover at all frm the internal ssd and i should again transfer files
@ChanganAuto i did also choose a option to diskwipe 7 does this mean the ssd will be like brand new with no data or recoverable data and will add faster speed wen i reinstall again?

Yes, exactly. And security level has nothing to do with it, it's just harder to crack the password. A moot point anyway because the file system is now corrupt. Again, if you don't fully understand how it works - you don't otherwise you wouldn't be referencing YT - then don't use it. You can later enable the native Windows Bitlocker encryption if you want. And again, have backups of every personal file you can't afford to loose.
i did also choose a option to diskwipe 7 does this mean the ssd will be like brand new with no data or recoverable data and will add faster speed wen i reinstall again? Wiping is exactly that but it has nothing to do with speed. PS - No, you haven't yet accept the answer to your other question, that means superuser.com/help/someone-answers

@ChanganAuto ok so let me get this straight the files on the ssd is no longer recoverable permenantly and no software can aacces it and the only way to fix this is to reinstall windows again and not to use veracrypt am i right?
@ChanganAuto i did it now pls check could u also answer the disk wipe thing too?

Using or not using Veracrypt is your prerogative. If you do then you must understand that if any problem happens NOTHING will be recoverable, the OS won't even boot. So, you must have backups. That's what encryption has been designed to do as already commented multiple times.

@ChanganAuto so all files are permently removed frm the drive and is not accisible using any software

Another thing you should understand is this isn't a forum. It's a Q&A site. If you have a new question you're welcome to post a new question. Comments are for us to ask for clarification, additional data, or give information that isn't really an answer like advice, etc.. It isn't to engage in back and forth conversations like in a forum. No, files aren't accessible, you have to reinstall, end of story. I already told you everything you need to know from a practical view point. I suggest you do your own research on specialized forums about Veracrypt to better understand its options.
