@TRiG I'm not convinced that there really does always need to be such a sharp distinction between genres. To me the question more becomes whether 1:19 is intended to somehow break the flow of the text (stylistically, thematically or grammatically). Personally I wouldn't say it matters quite as much whether it's a breakaway line of prose or a continuation of the poetry.

Any Greek-types in here happen to know whether Apollonius' Canon + Corollary come from Classical Greek studies or if it's only a Koine/NT thing?
