3:41 AM
Morning all... today let's wish for the poor people. God Bless them. :-)

@NickAlexeev I did answer a similar one once, but I'm not sure if that was here

Can anyone tell me which type of Diode is widely used.
Basic pn junction diode, zener diode, LED, tunnel diode , pin diode.
Or the one which has good characteristics than all the other diodes

medium power PN junctions are ridiculously common for AC rectification and a few other apps (such as snubbing of DC switches)
switching diodes are common, but not quite as insanely ubiquitous as the 1N400x and friends
LEDs are also near-ubiquitous -- the small indicator types are practically everywhere, and power LEDs are making rapid inroads as well

How about PIN diode?

zeners and their close relatives TVS diodes are quite common, but not as common as they used to be due to the rise of cheap 3-terminal regulators and bandgap references
PIN and tunnel diodes are rare creatures found solely in advanced RF work
most modern RF gear relies heavily on ICs vs. discretes anyway

I want to skip at least one of those

Schottkys are common as well in low voltage SMPS contexts

7:25 AM
Soon I have exam. Unable to remember all those at once. So I wanna skip some

(as well as being the archetypical small-signal RF diode in the silicon era -- small Schottkys are what replaced the germanium 1N34)
I'd focus on PNs, Zeners, LEDs, and Schottkys
as those are what you'll meet out in the field

OK.. better
And in zener diode..
Dynamic resistance and average AC resistance are important or shall I skip?
I will skip that because here just graphs are given so to understand that it will take more time ( given without clear explanation)
Just graphs with formulae..

not sure

@Shalvenay thank you
:-) take it easy.

1 more doubt....
In BJT, is there any reason why they have put circle symbol
lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/…FFjrnafLZDEnUhuavqE7-j_yn5QAoPBHTXyBg4Nw‌dW_S3s19G3yFNnnSIrpHoKJ4kdmiqaWJCo83tunD4gjzQX1m3BJwg=w384-h384-nc
The above link is in error
sometime the circle around it is used and sometime it is not represented.. So why it is like that?
Is there any specific reason for that?

@PlasmaHH ?

4:21 PM
????

4:40 PM
!%&

@PlasmaHH oh gosh :P lol, that's bad

5:04 PM
@Asmyldof brexit

5:30 PM
Yah, I got it a few minutes after I went into the kitchen
Bit slow today
Cleaned out the bedroom, got a new bed, built a new bed, sorted all the clothes and fabrics, and now I'm DONE with today
So, to celebrate I decided to finish building the Bosch model villages, which I'm doing now, while smoking some more fishes
#DinnerSoon

@Asmyldof you will do all yours works (you mentioned above)... Hmmm Too Good.
And @PlasmaHH does Brexit will happen really?

1 hour later…
6:45 PM
55% for Brexit. Govt now needs to decide if they listen to the vote, or to how people reacted to the aftermath
Going to just finish the central air tubing in my work room while it's not 22:00 yet

6:57 PM
What about my doubt then?
How ever that question doesn't matter but I really wonder about it

7:53 PM
@ShwetaSekuri No reason I can remember other than... clarity maybe. Might be a historic reason like canned or encapsulated, but I wouldn't know

8:08 PM
I really like the google trends for that topic ... google.de/trends/…

8:33 PM
This one is funnier to me: google.de/trends/…

same difference

9:05 PM
hm, sterile til 2020... I wonder what these numbers are based on... the average time bacteria need to gnaw threw the plastic...
