This room is for discussing the launch of the math.SE blog - its name, initial content, administration, what have you.

I have scheduled a community event for Saturday 2-5pm US Central Time for community discussion, but anyone is welcome to contribute their thoughts at any time.

@GrigoryM A fair point - I didn't want to hijack that room and try to set the tone, so I decided to create a new one.

This way, I can steer the conversation a little bit, while still letting alternative discussions take place.

ok. Well, I will say that I cannot participate during the scheduled time, as I will be either in the air or have just landed. So, I think I'll write in my thoughts at some point in time today or tomorrow...

In fact, I'll be pretty busy all of next week, so I don't know how much I'll be able to contribute until the 17th (which is when things get not-so-hectic in my "real" life), so I can't guarantee anything until then (aside from my blog entry).
