@b_jonas get a cheap one. My first one cost me $20 and I was not really unsatisfied with it. It broke many years later inevitably.

@EuriPinhollow Did it break the camera too?

2:27 PM
@b_jonas no, just details broke one by one, the first ones were plastic screws. the last one which made tripod practically unusable was the supportive bow connecting the middle of the leg to the bottom of the center pivot holding camera.
@b_jonas On the contrary, 10 times more expensive tripod was close to breaking the camera because of the retractable quick release place screw which prevents the plate from fixating in one position (it is not noticeable!) and does not in most other cases.

I see.
As for breaking the camera, I should buy a proper neckstrap instead of this wrist strap they gave with the camera. Luckily the camera is heavy enough that they added proper neck strap attachment places.

This camera is great by the way! it allows so much fine-grained control to make bad pictures in specific ways.
It lets me use raw image, manual focus, manual sensitivity and aperture and exposition speed; but it also lets me set any combination automatically; and even lets me use automatic exposure and autofocus but measure them from two different places by moving the camera between and pressing the right buttons.
So if I want an overexposed sky above a building, I can turn the camera to view the building only, press a button to choose exposure and lock it, then turn the camera to where I want to focus, half-press the shutter, then aim the camera and shoot

I wish there were such cameras earlier when I started making photos. I could have never bought DSLR.
