How can i convince someone who wants an entry level DSLR out of it - and into a mirrorless?

@dpollitt Why do you want to convince them out of a DSLR and into a MILC?

Because I've seen too many of my friends/family buy expensive DSLR's to leave them sitting at home in favor of their smartphone camera - primarily due to size and complexity.

I'd add to my original question - into a mirrorless or large sensor compact.

Sony RX100 III or Sony a6000 are the two I'd recommend right now.

I personally won't be buying a DSLR again for the foreseeable future.
