Anyone know of a DSLR with a CMOS sensor that reads the image sensor in horizontal direction. So, reads vertical lines instead of the usual reading of horizontal lines of the sensor?

This is a crop of a photo that was shot in landscape orientation. A vertical line(s) is seen going thru the entire frame. The line appears in some of the photos (not mine, but a friend of a friend) but not in every photo. Clean frames were captured before and after these photos. Every photo affected with the line had the line in the same place.
