well, I learned that DoF calculator's camera selection is crap now anyway. (And I guess I showed that I play it by visual rather than actually using calculators normally)

why the heck do they bother having a variety of camera models listed if they just use the same CoC for a longer viewing distance or smaller print size than what the camera is capable of... that's just silly.

I mean, there are things like Pocketwizards that allow for radio based flash and trigger control

or other various remote trigger/intervolometers that are pretty cool

there is MagicLantern which is actually a software tool that drastically expands the functionality of many Canon DSLRs

Lumix has a similar software kit available
