Yo
Does anyone knows if there is some proven, open source LDAP server?
I got huge data centre and it will need to work with windows in certain scenarios, like from .NET clients, from linux sssd, and from java unbound sdk
I am looking on 389 DS from Red Hat as well OpenDJ from Forge Rock
The OpenDJ works fine for me and from small script it does 1.000.000 search and bindte
I dont know if this 389 server is any better, the java one (OpenDJ) is really easy to use
There was just one bug with the installer and one bug in UI tool related to java version
so the server works on JRE8 and the UI works on JRE7
hrrr
:-)
I just want to get rid of the windows ldap server so that I have 100% open source stack
basically I'd setup replication from windows to the open source ldap and point all linux systems as well applications to use them
and also provide proxy with load balancing and monitoring for this ldap servers
hrrr
