haha just noticed my brand new shiny badge....

one other comment. its quite interesting to compare this election with the prior one 3yr ago.
many more candidates, much more enthusiasm/detail/proposals in their writing, etc.
its great both new mods are bloggers, AK quite prolific with over ~75 posts in a single year. wow, impressive stat.

@vzn thank you. It was 83 articles last year. If you are interested in seeing all of 2013 at a glance then I made a categorization of the articles by theme: established applications of EGT, extending to society and mind, and envisioning the algorithmic world.
The last theme is probably of most interest to you.

ah. stand corrected. see your latest post. interesting and gutsy move to ref dilworth.
re "argumentative". its one thing to argue ideas in the subject area and another to argue about site mgt/mod issues such as deleting posts, issuing warnings to users, etc.... an outgoing moderator seemed to miss the distinction....
was musing today that dilworth has the most cojones of anyone have seen on the site ever possibly incl myself :p haha
but dilworth does not have anything to lose it would seem. quite remarkable how the exchanges have played out between him & k & ... you!
fully expect though not to hear anything more from dilworth after the election... will see....
dilworths ref to shor/nisan seems interesting ... seems to be an insider so to speak... huh
who was that masked man, anyway?
have never seen anyone take on k & get the last word...
maybe being a great mod means sometimes letting a lowly user have the last word!
