@johnp thanks I saw this already

2:36 PM
@Chris @Cai why are you all voting to close this as tech support?
0
Q: Using Adobe Stock images for products i wish to sell?

ahigginsIs it ok to use Adobe Stock images for stationery or calendars that I'd like to sell?

I agree with closing but not sure why you all are putting tech support as the reason

2:58 PM
@Ryan - my rationale was that it's detail that's available in the supporting docs, T&Cs, instructions, whatever. "Off topic because it's a legal question" didn't seem like a good fit because there's no legal interpretation required. What would you have picked?

flag for migration to legal or "Off topic because this has nothing to do with graphic design" or as a last one I'd do "Too Broad" since they don't say any sort of specifics
@Chris

Fair enough, I'll bear that in mind for any future similar questions - of which there will probably be hundreds :-)

not saying you all are wrong but I don't think of stuff like this as a technical issue so was curious
I migrated it to Law anyways. Let them deal with it lol

Yeah, I just saw that. I've never been able to get the migration tag to work, do you have to be a member of the site that you want to migrate too or do I just need to level up some more before I can do that?

migration tag? huh?

3:10 PM
Sorry, I meant FLAG, not Tag. When I try to flag something as belonging elsewhere, I don't get any options of where to send it.

hmm I remember that. Not sure if its been rectified or works for me because I'm a moderator
Closing > Off-Topic > MIgration doesn't give you a blank field?

Correction, I can only migrate things to GDSE Meta

I see "Belongs on meta graphic design" and then a blank field I can put whatever I want into

Nah, no blank field on mine.

then just flag it as Other and type in, "This should be migrated to XXXX" and one of us mods will deal with it if we agree

3:14 PM
same here, I think you need mod rights

or can flag it outside of the close functions entirely. Just flag it for moderator intervention if you want

Fair enough, I'll do that in the future

that's what i do, I flag 'in need of mod intervention' and type in where I want the Q to go

anyone an expert on laptop batteries/power issues? ¬_¬
charger arrived but it's not the problem. not sure whether to pay out 100 for a new battery or if the port itself is the problem. no idea how to test this

no idea here

3:22 PM
@johnp if you don't have access to another similar battery I don't know how you'd be able to test it

yes, it's giving me a bad case of the frownies

3:42 PM
could you buy a second battery, test it, and send it back if it isn't the battery?
and get your moneys back of course

hey gents

hmm i may have to

hey vincent

howdy

whazzup?

3:48 PM
researching more trips
I mean work opportunities :D
I think my company needs a stronger presence in Honolulu ^^

lol
that sounds sucky @johnp

I'm only half kidding. I decided its important for us to go to Palm Springs California twice this year and now I'm looking into Hawaii

it is :( and the more I read about it the worse it seems

its a rough job but guess someone has to go
I have about $20,000 of budget still to spend. A flight to Honolulu is $1000 roundtrip. That seems doable to me :D

4:04 PM
sounds like a punishment

hehe but why Honolulu, @Ryan :P very suspissiousss

@Vincent what have you been up to? playing lots of tabletop games from the looks of it

having lots and lots of work
can't get it all done in time :(
web building, logo design, print design
if I'm a bit absent here, it's because of that

@johnp gotta go where the business is. I'm worried Northern California next week might be a bust. We should really be focused on Honolulu, San Diego, Palm Springs, and Phoenix as points of expansion. Palm Springs first for sure

@Vincent need any help, I'm here?

4:11 PM
Nice, what kind of print design are you working on?

I thought Honolulu was purely a resort?

just did an A4 flyer for the same dudes that passed me the book layout
and i'm doing a wedding invitation on a shoestring budget
@johnp heh thanks :)
@johnp I guess Hawaii is a bit bigger than that :)

Honolulu (/ˌhɒnəˈluːluː/ or /ˌhoʊnoʊˈluːluː/; Hawaiian pronunciation: [honoˈlulu]) is the capital and largest city of the U.S. state of Hawaii. It is an unincorporated part of and the county seat of the City and County of Honolulu on the island of Oahu. The city is the main gateway to Hawaii and a major portal into the United States. The city is also a major hub for international business, military defense, as well as famously being host to a diverse variety of east-west and Pacific culture, cuisine, and traditions. Honolulu is the most remote city of its size in the world and is both the westernmost...
city of almost a million people

lol my geography knowledge is abysmal...actually at insulting levels!

4:17 PM
~350k inhab

🙈 okay

about the size of my hometown

totes soz Hawaii

one of the managers out there flies in to one of the conferences on the mainland and I've met him a few times. But if we want that market we'd have to eventually go out there and make some real contacts

@johnp all of HI is 1,4M inhab

4:19 PM
yeah but does your geography knowledge keep you warm at night ¬_¬
:D

I have a bf for that :P
then again, it's usually me keeping him warm

¬_¬ I have...a hot water bottle

I have a fur coat :\

ha! all swagged out

and yes Honolulu permanent residents vs inhabitants is a big difference but our business doesn't care about that. Our bread and butter is resort communities and snowbirds
