`too confusing to understand for me` you keep saying that what you read here is too confusing for you, have you tried explaining us what do you find confusing?
If you do not tell us what is confusing for you we will not be able to give you the answers you need (though, to properly understand aerodynamics, a bit of physics knowledge would be required, and for that you need math)

@Pondlife heh. Peter Kämpf is a pretty awesome guy

@falstro personally I do not appreciate some of his practices, so I have some problems defining him "awesome". No problems instead in defining him knowledgeable

@simon please do not delete your answer
you simply have to state what you are assuming: either constant heading, or constant track.
you seem to assume constant heading, and thus you allow for a track change, what I am asking you to do it is not to take it as granted that someone will see your assumption

Does anyone agree that this should go to physics.SE? aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/19524

@Federico they can ask it there, I'm not migrating it in its current clusterfuck livejournal "HEY I EDITED SOME SHIT IN IN ALL CAPS" state.
(it's everything I can do not to smack the users who do that into the next century, I certainly won't inflict it on another site!)

I can see the sense in that. If I finish packing soon enough I will give it a go

6:31 PM
@voretaq7 Yes, I started editing it but I count three separate questions hidden in there, it's a bit of a mess to put it mildly

could someone fix the spelling of this tag? aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/aerodymanics

I had a go at fixing it, it's probably still a dupe though
@Federico I meant the question, not the misspelled tag you found

@Pondlife yes, I understood you. is that I was posting a question and the wrong tag popped up

@Federico I changed the tag on the only question where the wrong one was used, I think that means that the now unused tag will be deleted automatically, but I'm not sure how/when that works

oh, I did not thought of that. Let's see what will happen.

Q: How can we get rid of misspelled and unused (or "zombie") tags?

MottiDuring the re-tagging of questions, tags sometimes become orphaned from existing questions. Are these zombie tags ever removed from the tags list? What if a tag is misspelled and needs to be removed? How do we get rid of it? Return to FAQ Index

@Federico i don't think it has to be mutually exclusive, you can be awesome at what you do and still be a dick. I don't know the guy personally, so yeah go with knowledgeable if that makes you feel better. Awesome knowledge is awesome. ;)

yeah, I'm still not sure whether to rollback his substantial edit to my answer to "why were there biplanes"
there's nothing wrong with what he added, it's just that I was trying to keep my answer simple, and he... isn't

8:32 PM
@DanHulme He usually doesn't seem to have a problem with posting another answer. Not sure why he chose to add to yours.
Maybe you should be honored that he felt it good enough that it only needed a few small edits.
At least there are no equations. (yet)
