I think I'll leave it un-rooted for now... too risky a time
Can't afford any more lost time
And you know what the irony is? Last few times I went on holiday I purposefully took a copy of the full 2GB flash image for my phone with me just in case but stopped doing it because I was like why the hell would I ever need that
just think of all the things you learned in the process. someday you may need to hack a google bot to stop it from making another mass grave full of bodies :-)
@Psycogeek No analogue VGA on any new cards. AMD ditched it a generation or two before Nvidia and Intel supposedly don't support it anymore either, though many OEMs still incorporate it somehow
vga dead, I only have had to use VGA for testing, cable, card, monitor, backup connect. but i do have one high priced projector that is VGA or "component"
in the real world (not the geek world) we do have to realise that there are still CRTs even in use out there, in places like kids bedrooms and all. fact is i still use a beastly 27 inch one in my bedroom.
And if anyone isn't convinced of the superiority of DisplayPort yet... May I point you to the $10 adapters that'll turn any compatible DisplayPort or mDP port into HDMI 2.0, VGA, and/or DVI in a single almost-passive box
There's only one LCD monitor I've ever come across that's close to CRT quality for contrast and refresh rate, and it's highly expensive due to the fact it's hugely above average for both.
I hate when developers ask for debug logs. didnt you already cause me enough trouble, and isnt it your job to test and debug :-) When it is freeware i am more likely to comply.
yes it always has been in my best interest to both, indicate how the problems occur (or debug) , and to give them a list of what would be the best thing to do for the program. One program (almost) became completly re-designed for ME :-) then was obsolete in 1.5 years.
@Psycogeek can't have it both ways. people don't want to send automatic telemetry and crash reports, but people don't want to go to the effort of manually sending logs...
For reading, I'd say the pixel density of 1920x1080 at 10" is more than acceptable.
Don't worry overly much about that.
Though, IMO 8" is rather small. It's in that awkward place where it's too large to be portable like a phone but too small to be comfortable browsing like a larger tablet/laptop.
i like my phone for movies, adding in some descent sound. being close enough to somthing small , is just about as good as being far away from something big. then your eyesight goes , and being close enough doesnt work.
magnifying glass, carboard box and a bright phone, is a projector :-)
@JourneymanGeek Considering @HackToHell already has a phone, the options are spending ~$100-$200 on a 7-8" tablet with minimal value, maybe a bit more on a 10" tablet that's probably more useful, or just using the phone with no additional cost...
Personally, I like reading on my phone. At least for books, it's nice to have the narrow screen.
"In C# 6, you may define a default constructor that is called when new S() is invoked, but not when default(S) is used." - That feature was dropped in the end - because it caused too many headaches, from what I remember. (You can still do it in IL of course, and the situations in which it's invoked aren't always obvious...) — Jon Skeet3 mins ago
@Burgi, for me, I'd ask for more but give him the time he needs (and help) so you can show him what to do . Then after a few times he can do it on his own.
@Burgi, yes, assuming that setting the binding for IPv4 is the same as IPv6
The link I provided has a script to do that, but you can also manually rebuild it with 3 steps. 1: disable winmgmt service, 2. rename (backup) %windir%\system32\wbem folder 3. start winmgmt service. — Kevin Tu5 hours ago
i am new guy for this forum, i didn't notice this is a aged thread. I have lots of material about WMI, and i have few years' of WMI supporting experience, so i just want to share something with the OP. So i need to delete my answer? — Kevin Tu4 hours ago
@JourneymanGeek any recommendation on replies to those?
thats kinda cool youtu.be/IG2HANsvAxw?t=222 an android phone, hotspot and projector. that is "enough bright" and has sufficient reviews to assume it would work.
I upgraded because you guys aren't helping so .
ugh Windows 10 is easier. It BSODed after install and then it crashes and then my laptop made a weird noise and there was smoke coming out of the fan and then FIRE I ran away and part of my house burned down and my house is rented and I am living wit...
@Rahul2001 bad script, retconning of the entire original invasion, bad acting, weak main characters, plot holes you can fly a planet sized ship through....
@iMerchant The stormtroopers managed to destroy one in A New Hope, so not blaster-proof. Apparently it was big enough that even stormtroopers couldn't miss! :D — Jane S3 hours ago

I said "possibly offensive" because it's possible it's a genuine surname I wasn't aware of, but googleing didn't show any evidence and urban dictionary pretty much matched my definition of it which seems offensive.
