Paging a program out on minimise was a function of the OS or a function of the programs? Game (two worlds) from Win XP era takes forever to return , after being screen swapped, the longer it is "minimised" the longer it takes to return.

I am still wondering that a bit , even after being on win7 for this long if that changed. it was almost horrible on XP , even with way sufficent memory, games would surely page out, because i was tracking it occuring even.

I still avoid minimising anything today, out of paranoia. Games dont give the choice of not mimimising. Nite sure about Fake full screen games, that are borderless wondows. Another thing people on the web stated, not sure if that is true either.

This also gets into my unresolved issues with arguing with "experts" about paging, when: IF programs were paged out on minimise, then there was a Heck of a lot more to "speeding up paging" than thier constant "nothing good will come of it" arguments.

In my early years of foruming , i had a huge "debate" with a book smart genius about paging , trying to pass actual observation of reality onto the book "facts" to try and get to the total facts. Now on windows 7 i am not sure that part of it applies anymore.

A: Dns 301 to one address and A record to another

I had this scenario myself several times and solved it by creating a small site that responds to "domain.com" and 301 redirects to "myotherdomain.com". To help other solve the same scenario, I have now created a small free service at www.301redirect.it that can do it for you. I hope it's helpful.

There's certainly many stages of conversion though. No components take 19-20V.
