i ask this because i grew up as a catholic but have since stopped going to mass regularly or praying much. i am visiting a friend who is romanian orthodox and she goes to church every sunday and i would like to go with her to see what its like, she knows about my catholic background and asked me if i am allowed to go to an orthodox mass because one of her catholic friends said that she couldnt go into an orthodox church because she is catholic

Along the same line of thought as Alex, I wonder if unbaptized individuals in the Orthodox church would be allowed inside the Orthodox church, or if the Orthodox church has some doorkeeper to keep the unbaptized out.

thats sort of what i mean, am i not a real catholic if i go into an orthodox church, to be honest im not bothered if i am breaking a rule of some sort
@Alex Good question. I don't know either. However, I've heard that Jews are not allowed to step inside a Christian church. They can enter a mosque... but never a church.

ive already been into several orthodox churches as a tourist but tomorrow will be the first time i attend a mass
@Alex Here is my person feelings. I believe Catholicism to be true, and have been born and raised Catholic. You yourself knows best if it would upset someone you know if you attended another mass. And we know that those that get upset are going to die. And we do not want them to die, but to repent and find the peace within themselves through confession and forgiveness.
I believe that in the End all will join into the Catholic faith, and the Lord through his truth will edify the Church so that all will meet his standards of perfection.
So to those outside they need to see your love for them. And we know that God's love is for all that learn to repent.

So to those that are weak and need the love I send you to them. So that you conscious can be clean and free from guilt. For what you believe belongs to you. And nobody is going to change what you believe unless you allow it.
Personally I allow the truth to mold me. I will adjust to the truth, As I suggest that you also adjust to the truth.
