Q: Can you use the internet in the heaven?

Sin Jeong-hunPlease... do not tell me that nobody knows what the heaven is like. There are some billions of Christians and at least millions of them claim that they have personally talked with god or Jesus. Why would god or Jesus hide what the heaven is like to his fellow children? If you do insist that nobo...

@JimG. there's no limit on mine, but I don't see that question having been edited so it's definitely still far afield of our guidelines

@Andrew If a source can be linked, then, yes, please do. You don't necessarily have to link the Bible, but many do link to BibleGateway.com It's pretty cool and has tons of translations.
@Andrew It really is case by case. Always edit for formatting. Put long quotes in a blockquote, put ill-formatted lists in bullets or numbers, grammar and punctuation, etc.
When I edit, the first thing I consider is to try to fix everything that is wrong with it.
After that, I do the best I can to keep to original spirit of the question. Usually, the OP doesn't complain, but I have had it happen once or twice.
If you can keep the spirit of the question and yet also find it necessary to rewrite the entire post, go ahead if you want to spend the time.
One thing: If it is really bad, don't actually bother. The user that posted the junk will now get rep points for your editorial work. That leads to unqualified users gaining unearned privileges.

Q: Is God literally moving everything around the universe?

RagnarokGod is almighty. God is in control of everything. He is the prime mover. Does it mean that He is the cause why everything is moving? What is the stand of Catholic about it?

I think I got this narrowed down to "How far does God's sovereignty spread according to the Catholic church?" but it needs some serious edits. Maybe someone a little better at than than me would like a crack at it.

@Andrew I edit quite a lot, but I'll edit questions far more aggressively than answers. Questions define the tone of the site, and it's very important that they be clear.

@Daи yes, I am =)

@МалъСкрылевъ very cool, I've always wanted to learn it, but I have a few other languages on the list that are still ahead of it

Is it possible to do a site search that includes the text of comments?

@Daи which are they?

@МалъСкрылевъ the first priority are the biblical languages for me, and I have had the opportunity to take all three and am continually improving my Greek so that I may read more and more of the early Fathers/Patristics
@МалъСкрылевъ then I'd like to learn spanish, russian, and latin
I have an elementary knowledge in spanish now, and I can read cyrillic, but have much to learn in both

@Daи ivrit or aramaic? =)
slavonic is biblical language too =)

3:13 PM
@МалъСкрылевъ both
@МалъСкрылевъ indeed, thanks to methodius and cyril :)

Saints Cyril and Methodius (, Old Church Slavonic: ) were 9th-century Byzantine Greek brothers born in Thessalonica, Macedonia, in the Byzantine Empire. They were the principal Christian missionaries among the Slavic peoples of the Great Moravia and Pannonia, introducing Orthodox Christianity and writing to the hitherto illiterate, pagan Slav migrants into parts of Macedonia and elsewhere in the Balkans.{{Cite book | last1 = Smalley | first1 = William Allen | title = Translation as mission: Bible translation in the modern missionary movement | year = 1991 | publisher = Mercer | locati...

may be slavic, not greek =)

@МалъСкрылевъ that was in reply to your comment that slavonic is a biblical language too

@Daи yes, I see =)

@MattGutting Hi Matt!

4:56 PM
@bruisedreed Ho there!

good to see you in chat - where abouts do you hail from?

I live outside Trenton (NJ, US)
And you?

I'm an Aussie (residing in Hobart, Tasmania)

So you're already in tomorrow :-)

from your perspective, yes

5:12 PM
@bruisedreed :-) How do you come to be here? I started off in Stack Overflow and just kind of went exploring.

well, a couple of months ago, I was searching for some good online resources for Christian Q&A and checked it out. A friend of mine told me about SO a couple of years back, and I even had it bookmarked, but I don't work in IT so I never really checked it out properly to realise what a powerful tool it could be.

I've always been better at answering questions than asking - but this is a great place (or at least could be a great place) to find answers when I get questions :-)
@JackDouglas Hi!

6:13 PM
And, for a change, the source is not Church Signs Epic Fails. This one's from Buzzfeed.

@TRiG I actually initially thought of World Taekwondo Federation.
And World Trade Federation, though I don't think that one exists?

Hi guys, maybe you can help with the question I asked before that didn't get answered: "Is it possible to do a site search that includes the text of comments?"?

7:11 PM
@TRiG and the real question is... was it intentional
@MattGutting my sympathies ;)
@bruisedreed I'm not sure about through site search, but Data Explorer can do it

thanks @AJHenderson, I'll check it out

@bruisedreed I like your profile pic. Who's the artist and do they have more?

7:28 PM
but yeah, if you know MSSQL, the data explorer is fantastic

@fredsbend that's a good question, but I will have to get back to you on that one
