Non-Christians in the US don't have an entire culture of never questioning self-appointed leaders. (Well, some other patriarchal religions might, but they don't have the same power, so it's not nearly as big a problem.)

@TRiG Ahh, I'd be careful about applying a blanket to all Christians in the US...
