Just thought of this, but for automatic flagging, a user should not have any auto-flags on a site they're a moderator on, just in case of a false positive.

I don't see /questions returning network user info. Maybe I'm missing it though...

You're right. That route returns "shallow user". We need the full user object. :(
Maybe keep an array of BL user names and if the name matches, make the extra API call to confirm? Would catch the lion's share of cross-site spammers...

Hmm, maybe. But we catch most spam by other accounts anyway... seems like quite a bit of work for right now.

We don't really have all that many on Smokey for a relicensing either. This might not be that painful.
ByteCommander has some borderline significant content.

If dual-licensing is more convenient than picking one, why not pick 3-4 or 10 licenses, and let users choose? Just wondering.

At that point, you're basically talking CC0
I suspect that there just aren't really any licenses that work poorly with both MIT and Apache.

Tangent! This job posting threw me off for minute. It's for StubHub, but has eBay branding all over it. Reason being: eBay owns StubHub. And now you've learned something

4:47 AM
Huh. I never knew that.

According to this, if CE remained GPL, Smokey could still be released separately under MIT, as long as it's also released under GPL. (Just a note)

@BrockAdams The current API quota remaining is 3944.

I wonder if the rollover time is case-specific? IP hasn't changed or quota would be reset.

@BrockAdams right but I think (who knows) it's dependent on when you make your first API request.

You may be right.

Hmm, @TimStone do you know anything about when API quotas roll over?

How is it possible that we've woken up in a world where people with 0 understanding of technology and software are doing the first round filtering for programmers. If I get asked the question: "So.. How's your saas" by another 10/10 20 something supermodel again, I'm going to scream. We need some kind of programmer's labor union to deal with this BS.
From now on, the answer to: "How is your SAS/SAAS/SAO" questions are going to be met with: "It's magic, and you wouldn't understand anyway, so can you tell me how many trampolines employees would get as a sign-on bonus?"
And when they say: "I don't understand", I can reply with: "oh I'm sorry, I thought retarded questions was the theme for this afternoon".

Looks like Pops had to reach deep to find new mods for Arduino
(To be fair, the user gave 50 rep bounty, so the total would be 191 without it)
Still, this might be the first time I see a mod without association bonus.

^ We keep getting empty API response, no items field, no quota_remaining field. There's probably an error field with that but it's not logged. @hichris123
Could be backoff?
In any case, throwing an exception just because there is no "items" in response (and subsequently reverting) is not good.
Maybe just send a hq_message with the error when this happens?
