Hello, I had posted a question a couple of years ago, and the question became protected. A low rep user has the answer to the question (user "gRex"), but can't post it because his non-association rep is <10. Is it appropriate in this case for me to request having the protection lifted so he can answer and I can mark as the solution? (link: superuser.com/questions/947525/…) Thanks for your consideration
