I edited my chosen answer to be more precise since it would be more visible than just a comment and also included links to relevant documents. But the edit got peer rejected stating that the intent of the original post got changed and I was promoting a product or service, both of which were clearly not happening. @VAN if you wish to discuss the edit then you can ask about it on meta.superuser.com where people may tell you why they rejected it.

There's no way to appeal a rejected edit apart from discussion on meta.
