Q: If i use one ground wire for two outlets, will my equipment get damaged?

Oliver MakiIf i use one ground wire for two outlets, will my equipment get damaged? Here is what I want to do: If my air conditioner sends voltage through the ground wire shared with the outlet powering my computer, would my computer short out and or get damaged?

Q: Can a single ground wire ground 2 outlets?

Oliver MakiCan a single ground wire ground 2 outlets? Because i don't want to run another wire through the wall, instead i can run a wire to that other ground wire and have 2 outlets being grounded by one wire?

These questions are asked by the same user, and are similar. However, I believe they are a bit different.
What do you guys think?

@ChrisCudmore Both of them, or just the one (Can a single ground wire ground 2 outlets?)?

Unclear on it's own. Obviously it works for a 2 gang, and the concept might hold if we're running multiple outlets off of one feed. But I don't think that's what he's asking. I think he wants to jury-rig a ground.

I withdrew my close vote on the one and asked a clarifying comment.
