Q: Type of wire to be used for alarm system

alarmquestionI am putting new metal siding on a building that needs to be extremely secure. I am planning on running wire up and down the building before the siding goes up. This is so if someone tries to cut through the building they will cut through the wire before they know it is even there and the alarm/s...

I can't think how this could be applicable in a residential application.
