What is the feeling in diy about the woodworking proposal? Do people here want it to succeed or is there a fear it will poach questions?

@drs Good question for meta. They seem to be a small minority of the questions here so I don't think it would take away too much from the community.

@BMitch That is how I feel. I also feel that it has the potential to introduce forum woodworkers to the SE network, who may then see the merit in participating in DIY.

Oops, I completely forgot that I already brought it up on meta 9 months ago

I may try to think of a way to bring it up again without duplicating the question

In the meantime, another way to help promote it would be to vote for the community ad

Q: Conduit Underground - Ways for tunneling under obstructions?

I'm running into a situation where it's increasingly difficult to bury this PVC underground 18" in some spots due to massive tree roots. Changing directions and/or destroying the roots isn't an option. The isolated roots are easy enough to tunnel under but there are root 'clusters' that are close...
