Welcome to Project Update Thursday

It's been a while since I've made it on a Thursday.

Current State of affairs:

Farted around for 4 wks waiting for the counter top.

That was a huge delay for me too.

Supplier shipped wrong granite first, then one flawed sheet. Then arguing with fabricator.

Mine was just a multi-week delay to get someone out for measuring.

Did the under-mount lighting myself.

is that why all the wires are hanging out? :D

Still need to select backsplash tiles. This will likely result in divorce.

what's the plan for over the range, have a large hood picked out?

Yeah, curved glass. It almost looks like it came with the ceiling light.

Pretty. Did you leave a path behind/under the cabinets for dishwasher plumbing to the sink?

Plumbing has been installed since those pics. It's done.

Stainless steel dishwasher. There was copper right under the floor, so supply was tapped into that.

Drain went through the corner cabinet.

But other than painting, moulding, and some minor electrical, I can't claim any DIY for that

Is there a lazy susan in there you could run under/around?

Yeah, it's behind the lazy susan, nicely clamped right into the corner.

Don't even notice it.

Yeah, pretty hard to see anything behind those.

But I really should have had the cabinet installers leave a path.

... and a string in that path as well would be helpful.

It's probably a lot easier to fish the drain behind the lazy susan than under/behind the cabinet.

your life will be much easier if you ever need to replace/repair the dishwasher.
