I think we need to welcome Josh to the game of 20 questions. :)

Q: Normal Operations of A Furnace?

Josh PenningtonI just moved into my house and I am wondering if this is normal for a furnace. So I have my furnace set to 68 degrees. The temperature on the thermostat says 66 degrees. The furnace is on, but does not appear to be blowing warm air (I guess I would describe the air as not warm, but not cold). S...

I'm reminded of Car Talk, where they start asking about the color of the car when they have no clue.

These are the types of questions I like to answer with "Call a professional", since they don't seem to know much and probably can't fix it themselves anyway.
But I guess questions like this are good to have around.

I think @TheEvilGreebo is on the right track, so I'm leaving it for him to answer
BTW, congratulations @Tester101 for knocking me off my high horse. You wouldn't want me to get too cocky up there. :)
I think we need one of those foam finger things cheering someone on for being #2 on the rep board

Haha. had a couple good questions yesterday. would have been a bit better if I hadn't hit the rep cap.
@BMitch I'm sure you'll be back up to number 2 in no time.

@Tester101 Haha, at this point, I don't even check. I was only in a race with myself to get to 10k. Didn't know I was at #2 until it was mentioned yesterday, and then saw that you beat me today when I was upvoting your post.
ack, too early to write a complete thought on my first try

@Tester101 I like that I can control this contest with my 40 votes a day :)

@BMitch I usually notice it when I'm checking to see how many edits I've made. I'm trying to get the Copy Editor badge.

@SteveJackson what were they trying to cook?

1:20 PM
@SteveJackson I notice you're #2 in voting, which I think is more important than rep.

@BMitch Kid was playing with plastic bowls...and parent's forgot to check before turning the oven on :)

bawhahaha, I had so many fire alarms in college because people didn't know how to cook, and one was for plastic in the oven
best 7.5 years of my life :)

@Tester101 Wooo! I'm #2 too, I'm #2 too! Maybe I can petition @JeffAtwood for swag.
@BMitch Oh...Dr. BMitch, I take it :)

Dr??? that's like another 15 years at my rate, I'd have to retire before looking for a job... hmm, when you put it that way...
in case my humor doesn't translate for some, I did the standard 4 years and got my lazy butt a job, my dad's counting on me for his retirement plan

Another good one (shitmykidsruined.com)
@BMitch That works? Bye bye 401K, hello new car!

for my dad it might, but you've got to work the odds in your favor, he's not counting on my brother for a thing. In an indirect way, my brother hasn't really moved out, and he's 40
