I'm a liiiitle concerned that when I asked "what's the best way to avoid killing the children of our enemies?" (specifying that this is the kind of group that cares about that sort of thing), one of the comments was "Wait, why would that be a problem?" Like I get that it's not a problem for every group, but can you really not imagine a mindset where it would be??
@nitsua60 Yeah I guess it depends on whether you think of it as an attempted frame challenge (have you tried not caring?) or not understanding why the question came up (why would you care?)
@SirTechSpec Pull it up, then. I learned a while back, after zealously editing some "related" links from comments into questions, that not all querents appreciate it. If you found it interesting/helpful, I suggest throwing a "Related:" blockquote or <hr>-delimited note up top. Not only does it point people to it, it tells people that you've read it.
Considering that unexplained downvotes aren't just permitted, but are explicitly encouraged unless the downvoter has something specific that would improve the answer...yeah, maybe.
