@Dawny33 This completely depends on context, "je suis" indeed either means "I am" or "I follow"/ "I'm following". Context is what gives you the right meaning, just like in English context is what distinguishes "lead" (the verb) from "lead" (the metal) (in text obviously, because they are not pronounced the same orally, whereas "suis" is pronounced the same for the two different meanings).
