Q: Leopard gecko toe fell off

My sons leopard gecko recently lost all the toes on its foot. Is there anything I need to be looking for or concerned about? Does it need to see a vet?

Whoa. I got a Famous Question and it wasn't "how do I give a cat a pill?" (which isn't even Popular yet, let alone Notable). That's not what I expected. :-)

@MonicaCellio the famous questions list is weird

I think our most popular questions seem to be stuff that people ask google becuase it's too trivial or embarassing to ask their vet

@Zaralynda I just wouldn't expect "why does my cat purr all the time" to be in that category. :-) But I did try Google before asking the pill question -- there were lots of hits but not a lot of good advice out there. Also, humor liberally mixed in.

@MonicaCellio I think it is because it's not really a health concern (so you don't ask your vet), but it can be something unusual

if you're used to a cat who doesn't really purr, then get one who purrs a lot

Romeo doesn't purr much, but kinda moans and huffs

@Zaralynda that was my situation; my previous cats purred when directly interacting with me, but "cat lying in doughnut bed across the room purring up a storm" was new to me with Giovanni.

@MonicaCellio Hunter (and Yates) will purr if you look at him. Juliet purrs to herself when she's snuggled in a bed or sunbeam
