Isn't it a better idea to just add all their names, here too. ? And there are some lower rep users (Danu, etc.), who aren't in the list of "top users",. Also, some who have proven to know qft, etc., but like answering the more basic questions; e.g. Danu, so I think it's better to add everyone's name here itself.

By the way, Marek is occassionally active on Math.SE, so we can ping him there.

http://physics.stackexchange.com/users/1856/truebeliever1234 I realised that in the data dumps, "Email hash"es are included, so maybe, just maybe, it may be possible tor reconstruct the profiles and make the emails temporarily public, which may allow one to ping them.

I couldn't find Mitchell Porter on the list. Definitely worth adding.

Hm, yes. I thought I had put it in the Physics Overflow chat room? @Dilaton are you sure you have copied all of them over?.

Hm... Seems like I really forgot to list Mitchell Porter there. Weird.

It occurs to me after reading <a href="http://physics.stackexchange.com/questions/83187/accelerator-physics-simulation-software?noredirect=1#comment173224_83187" this question</a>; should software-related questions be on-topic? After all, it's also useful to physicists.

Ok, but be prepared for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong list ... :-P :-D ;-) We can add them in the course of time, and on MathOverflow (search their meta ;-) ...), they have explained to me how important it is for such a nice site to alert the people right from the start . I will have A LOT to add ...

Oh yes, Mitchell Porter .. :-)!

I think too that it is useful for physicists, and if the community likes such questions, they should be allowed. I thought even Physics SE does not forbid them for this reason http://meta.physics.stackexchange.com/q/2898

Maybe there should be 2 more categories, "Books and Reference Request", and "Software Recommendation", which over-ride all other options.
