Usually the player(s) name their PCs and then the GM throws them into a scenario.

The nature of the setting and the PC is discovered through the scenario and especially through the actions and skills the PC uses.

Ah. Well stuff happens when you try to freestyle things. I tend to do that a lot. I keep the rules in the back of my head but I like the freedom of RP
