Ok. @heynnema I downloaded mainline and tried a few up to 6.12
It shows "dummy input" for all of them so far.

@heynnema It came with windows installed. I went to the official Ubuntu site and got an iso file and installed Ubuntu alongside Windows. yes. It is 24.04

I think I could reinstall Ubuntu from the same iso file.. or what for the next update.

I installed it by going to the official Ubuntu site getting the iso file and putting that on a USB. I then installed it from the USB.

It would be cool if the fix for "mainline" also works for my issue.

This computer came last week and I installed the LTS version from a the Ubuntu site and followed the directions to load it from a USB.

The first fix that you mentioned I tried first and it did not work. Then I followed a few other directions elsewhere to troubleshoot, all with no results.

I think an older kernal would likely fix it as well..

Same issue here.. new Dell XPS 16. I tried much of the fixes in the discussions.. but none work.
