I mean the narrative of Bitcoin is that ii suddenly appeared from the ether by "Satoshi" on a cloud? And we have this Wright just sitting there not (not even formally attacked, where is the litigious journalism of CSW on NYT.com?) interviewed in-person on CNBC? Worth not mentioning their name?

Dec 12 '21 4:35 AM
Wright/CSW survived the court hearing. ::breathes::

@jack:twitter.com chose Bitcoin over Twitter (by eloquently stepping down like George Washington and Steve Jobs?), how dramatic.

Well, I was allowed by email to change my name (because I emailed them my ID documents, before they could ignore me, I think the admin did it before they got stopped they were nice to me. I bet the Drama Major would have said No and critisized my request to talk first.). The entire time, 10 years, my whole account 90% of my questions are intact, just I can not get the feedback, like I wrote a book I can not read the original copy.

Dec 15 '21 5:06 AM
My last communication with Quora by email, they're just giving me a link to their Terms of Service and saying No to any access to my account. Literally, a link to their ToS. That is to say I appreciate StackExchange versus Quora, Q had secret chat, SE has public chat. Wow. Quite a change in environment. If we applied countries (US, China, Russia, Mars, Venus, Pluto) which is Quora and StackExchange, is that a question I can ask?

Dec 15 '21 4:57 AM
If anyone is familiar with the timing, 2012.11 was also, significantly, the very first time Quora made the "Writers" program and "Views" feature, I got to read that maybe a week or so before that happened. Suddenly I have mods editing dozens of questions at a time all in a span of weeks then boom. It's taken me 10 years to respond verbally because wtf? I mean honestly I was being spammed by mods, all in a few weeks, withotu formal warning or processes.

Dec 15 '21 4:52 AM
What's humorous about me getting lots of thanks from pschologists for editing their formatting, is that the 1 mod email sent maybe a week before they took action, was riddled with formatting issues, literally like spaces between paragraphs that were weird and names in weird places not a chat just a bunch of accusations I thought it was spam. I was not addressed as having a moderation issue, never the word "mod"/"moderator" once from a real name in public. I was still getting fan mail when it hap

s/I had account for 2 years, then in 1 month/psychologists. Damn 5 minute edit limit making me feel emotional, I would pay karma/reputation points just for a temporary 1 minute additional editing time. .... oh and what does it mean that when I planned this chat I thought of Martin in the room from before years ago (I bet you could prove my entrances coincided in the past:)? :P

Dec 15 '21 4:37 AM
It is terrible to think about, I got a LOT of feedback, then after 2 years in 1 month ending 2012.11.19 (exact, by chance like 911, not my timing), I learned that some of the people I was talking to were fans and some were mods and I was not told who was who on Quora.com. I was getting PM's from dozens of psychlogists I edited thanking me profusely for my editing help with their formatting quirks. Then I find out a Drama Major on Quora was a Mod who hated me, & never talked 2me 1st in English?:∫

@feetwet I appreciate you saving my other questions with "parents" keyword (last year, if you remember), I did not want to say anything but felt good someone did not just judge heavily.

Nov 23 '21 9:57 PM
@feetwet Regarding law.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/1371/…, I was referring to law.stackexchange.com/questions/59356/… itself. The irony is I am trying to restore that question because if I use "Parents" in title it gets hate/downvotes, than "Police" which got me an upvote.

I have not even checked the question yet, I wanted to say that first, thank you for being available by chat.

Nov 23 '21 1:40 PM
@Rory Fair enough. So much better than Quora. I still do not know if Quora.com admins even read what I wrote in direct reply. :∫ Even being downvoted on StackExchange is better than being upvoted on Quora from my experience now. I could not believe the first time I learned that Quora's "mod chat" was not for Users. I never had a say before now.

Nov 17 '21 8:50 PM
I spent 20 minutes analyzing/hesitating just where to reply, in the comments or chat here. :) I determined Rory wrote more in reply to my question than was transferred here, that's the functional problem with migrating comments when there is still continuing discussion, so I almost replied there, but then picked here. Arg.

Nov 17 '21 8:46 PM
For the record, to help reading back, you/Rory edited your comment on the question itself to be "Adding a forensics tag is not the way to bring a question on topic, and this question is very much about forensics. The field recording bit is incidental, so please don't try to use that to imply on-topic-ness – Rory Alsop ♦ 1 hour ago " ...migrated comments do not update when edited, is not your error.

Nov 17 '21 8:37 PM
@Rory I cede the field reco bit is incidental/personal, that's the personal value for my asking though, please understand, it does not feel incidental and is definitely exclusively sound-related. I am worried you read the most recent commenter say Video and my reply to that was taken as being less about Audio? In that final comment, I implied it might be a security/forensics question. May we please edit or use the migration tool to move to Security.SE (physical security topic question?)?

Nov 17 '21 8:35 PM
@Mark & @Rory (A) I added the sound.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/forensics tag immediately after Mark contributed their "ENF" comment, and their answer about ENF audio forensics techniques. I feel this is an acceptable answer direction (almost clicked Accept, but hoped for further feedback), I was just hoping Mark would write more first, their question comment said they were busy.

Nov 17 '21 7:18 PM
@7HzResearch +1. One issue only, is video takes extra space compared to audio. :( Though I think you're correct, ideally my smartphone may not have enough storage in the first place, given I can not predict when the audio will occur, these recs may be long-term spans, besides the fact that many default camera apps do not work well (accidental clicks, deactivation if lockscreen, heat) if in your pocket, for the average User. (I am open to migrating the question if it fits better with forensics/security, I just wanted to be crystal clear that it is an audio/sound problem for the average User...

Nov 17 '21 7:18 PM
@NuclearWang So optimally you need a "live audio" feed (affirmative?)? That is then part of the answer to the question, so if you know how to elaborate an answer I would appreciate the help defining that for audio/verbal/oral evidence. I figure that line of thinking is the "best a user can do", in reality. To say that another way, I mean your best bet is have live CNN coverage blasting by radio. Most optimally, during an important crisis with many news organizations live recording the same conference... that's (for just audio) even a greater technological challenge than a newspaper citation?

Nov 17 '21 7:18 PM
@NuclearWang We might need to clarify/differentiate the requirement for a live audio feed, from the separate requirement to save/upload to the cloud live. I mean there is some degree of trust if I am timestamping a live audio stream, uploaded to a server at said time which the ISP confirms? Same ideal if invented blockchain mark/stamp for Proof of Audio Time, only the method by which time is recorded and then synced to the chain is the proof? In combination, a Live Audio Feed (TV, Radio) and Live Audio Upload (Cloud, FTP), are the best proof? Or is there an algorithm like ENF signal for Users?

Nov 17 '21 7:18 PM
@Mark I think your comment is actually an answer, though I think you may have gone deeper than me if you think my question not theoretical. I would appreciate your comment as a solid answer to my theoretical question. Thank you for the answer, and you have my vote once posted officially. (My question is for future sound recording techniques, and not to analyse that particular recording, that's just me citing an example from before of not having a good timestamp and wanting a better solution for next time.)

Nov 17 '21 7:18 PM
@Tetsujin I need to be able to prove that a sound happened at a certain time. Does that require a "newspaper in the photo" but for audio?

Nov 17 '21 7:18 PM
@Mark By "audio channel that works as a timestamp", you mean there is an ENF signal which works as a timestamp? That would be an answer to my question.

/me still did not say that other word you keep using, just the W version (consciously/deliberately/intentionally). And even though I do not identify religiously at all, I've also been called jigger, the j-word. It is difficult to tell if that is positive or negative conjugation sometimes.

@Mitch For me being "Gabriel" got translated to "[are you] gay" quite frequentl and overtly, for you how many times (I've always asked these questions) did people hit the obvious profane/taboo buzzword attached to your real name?

@linksassin Oh I know, some people ask me if I am an undercover when I score in Baltimore's famed public Lexington Market, same as in real life chat room where some people think I am a mod probably.

Nov 6 '21 2:45 PM
@linksassin I mean, I remember one question I had which had so many mod edits at such a daunting speed, that I may have not accepted a mod edit that worked. Make senser?

Nov 6 '21 2:41 PM
@linksassin I guess the rundown by "mods" (said like "cops", but we all liked to watch Cops and know it) is the issue. (I do not know how to address, for closed questions where there was war, if I for example did not like an edit suggestion when I was age 25 over 10 years ago, such a fuss should we cuss...)
