FF7 rebirth is getting close.
The catastrophe is drawing near
soon, they will learn what "have a foot in both camps" means
Same devs:
> - "changes are not that deep"
- "we have been careful to maintain the storyline from the original game"
- Oh and here are the whispers, a massive story deviation that ends by destroying an entity called "fate"
- Barret dies in the remake, but whispers resurrect him
- Zack is alive at the end of Remake, dead in the original
- remake has Extra chapters that never even happened
- New trailers show whole party dead at the end of first game just before entering the "Crossroad of Fate", but alive a second later in another place
Reddit comments:
> I’ve seen conflicting points FROM THESE SAME DIRECTORS, for example at tgs they make a big deal about how the future is up in the air and anything can happen, they have an ign interview where they in the same quote say it will follow the same story and then talk about how important Zack is gonna be and can’t spoil too much. Also on one of maxs videos there was an interview where they build up this “new mystery” in rebirth.
If you played ever crisis at the beginning of the game sephiroth confirms he’s remaking the events of the original, and they have a time traveling watermelon that deliv
They knew that the Aerith lives crew would not play the same game.
And they knew that the "Aerith death is vital to the plot" crew would stop playing if she lives.
Now they are at the point where they have to commit to one plot.
Either way, it will be fun.

and both those comments don't even mention the very first tv ads for the game, the one I quoted multiple times
> A- This is exactly why the "net generation" is... Another route... Something like that... Does not exist!
B- Sorry...
A- Right, mother?
(the mother just nods to agree)
B- Mother?
C- Aw, ther is no such thing? I thought there was...
A- However, young one.. The important talk starts here. What I have been talking about now.. is about the 1997 Original game. BUT! What we do from here on.. will happen in the new 2020 Final Fantasy Remake! FF7 of 2020! In FF7!
A- Has the past changed? no... Or it stayed the same?
The only way I see for them to live thru this is to go full "Future Trunks". Two different timelines, game rolling out on both at the same time.
One goes like the original, one goes with Cloud / Tifa dead instead and Zack/Aerith as protagonist. Third game ends with timeline crossroad final battle and then everyone goes onward in their world, Cloud&Tifa on one side and Zack&Aerith on the other.

@SPArcheon time travelling watermelon :'D
@SPArcheon there's an appropriate idiom for this but I know you don't like explicit language

summer even in a mobile game
problem is that apparently the monster then goes about details from the Remake plots, making its appearance canonical to the story.
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні ^ this
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні The foot in two camps is already enough.
Also... Italian "Commedia dell'arte"
The Servant of Two Masters (Italian: Il servitore di due padroni) is a comedy by the Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni written in 1746. Goldoni originally wrote the play at the request of actor Antonio Sacco, one of the great Harlequins in history. His earliest drafts had large sections that were reserved for improvisation, but he revised it in 1789 in the version that exists today. The play draws on the tradition of the earlier Italian commedia dell'arte. == Plot == The play opens with the introduction of Beatrice, a woman who has traveled to Venice disguised as her dead brother in search of the...

@SPArcheon that somehow sounds really dumb
@SPArcheon then two new sequels! Brilliant plan :P
@SPArcheon they taught us about the genre briefly in high school, but not that specific piece
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні you read my mind. Or the other room

FF7 Restored: White Tifa and FF7 Restord : Red Aerith.
wait... It comes to me now that the titles could be better
FF7 Restored: White Tifa is the one that follows the original and restores the plot
FF7 Renewed: Red Aerith changes fate and goes on a different plot.
...
And now remember this... In case it will be true in 6-8 years....
Shadow will finally know I was Nomura all along
Anyway, I stand my words. They crafted expectation from a different outcome, and if they don't deliver it they will be roasted
and if they to, zealots of "original was better" will roast them too.
juggling both plots is their only hope.
And trust me, they have played a lot with the "Aerith lives" thing, even more the average Joe realizes
but it would be useless for me to list all the oddities. You wouldn't get those.
You didn't play the original.
Why would the fact one of the first images they released back was this one matter for you after all...
but to those, that image is an herring tossed at them.
and then you get more and more allusions, all pointing to the same thing.
Yep, they never said anything, yet they promised something nonetheless.
Again... it will be a "funny" time to look where this goes

@SPArcheon lol
@SPArcheon yup
@SPArcheon then they can try plausible deniability
"silly fans are all delusional"
The last thing I saw with two interacting timelines was the series Dark and it didn't go well...
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні Plausible? Yeah, that would be as plausible as telling us that Gen5 of MLP is not tied to G4.
you know, not at all.
