@MattN. I object to that. Analysis is way broader than what you say and it's a tag on the same level as (abstract-algebra), (set-theory), or (general-topology) for example.
Please: if you think about implementing an operation on that scale (roughly 2000 questions, after all) open a meta thread or post something in the relevant meta threads. There are very few people that visit this room or even know that it exists.
The actual reason I'm here is that I was wondering if one should introduce or . There are enough questions that would justify such a tag but it might be a tad specialized. Any opinions?

As far as I can say, Riesz spaces are an interesting topic. (Although I don't know much about them.)
If there is 10+ questions, I think those tags might be reasonable.

Yes, it definitely is an interesting topic (and interestingly neglected in the mainstream). I'm sure that I've seen more than 10 questions that could be tagged that way, but let me think about it. I've introduced more than one tag and then didn't follow up on it...

I found only two questions, when I googled for: "riesz space" site:math.stackexchange.com.
Banach lattices would fall under the same tag?

@MartinSleziak Awesome.

Sounds convincing to me. (I trust your judgement, since you seem to know quite a lot about these topics.)

@MartinSleziak I'd say yes. There is probably no need to differentiate further.
and a combination of and would serve as well, no?
I'll leave that proposal here for a while before doing anything. I should go now. Thanks for the input (and the kind words!). Bye

@t.b. Sure. I was going to (open a meta thread). Just not now. But seeing as you object, I'm glad that I may forget about the whole endeavour : )
Hello t.b., Hello Martin.
And bye : )

Riesz spaces and vector lattices are two names for the same the same thing, is that correct?

@MartinSleziak yes, that is correct, they are synonymous.
"Vector lattice" is more descriptive but "Riesz spaces" is a bit more common.
I have a slight preference for the former for a tag for this reason.
Now I'm off for real.
