@Oddthinking may I ask the reason why you have frozen "The Garden of Eden" chatroom sir?

On unverified comments: I'd like to highlight that the argument "lockdown ended the flu season" and 'measures taken' like 'masking' "reduce the spread of viruses" is without proper evidence.
Sweden had the lightest lockdown measures and also no flu season; 'masking' is said without any good evidence to be a talisman panacea against respiratory virus infections, yet 2020 we saw lots of masked people and the highest ever surveillance/sentinel probes for rhino viruses when mandate masking was in effect.
Add to that that such a comment doesn't improve the answer or even adds to it according to site rules, but just promotes popular opinion for unreasonable politics: why is that comment still there?

NzallCurrently there is not really any guidance on here on what makes a claim notable. There's obviously "it was said by Trump/Biden/Johnson/Cook/Rihanna/insert A or B-list celebrity here" and "it was the subject of a news article by a major news source", but beyond that there is a 3rd category of cla...

@user6232128 This chat room was created about 3 months ago. It had absolutely nothing to do with Skeptics. It appears the creator was trying to avoid visibility from users and mods of sites it was related to.
In fact, some of the topics discussed were an anathema to the Skeptics ethos.
Normally, we are fairly relaxed about what is discussed in the chat.
I gave it little thought, because I thought it would die out and disappear.
However, two things happened.
Artificial efforts were made to stop the room from being naturally frozen when the conversation died.
And it appears that it has been confusing users into thinking it is the main chat room, and posting in there rather than here in the Hub of Reason.
For that reason, I decided that it was time to help the room and its lapsed conversation into the archives.
