Hello. I can’t post a link on this chat because I am typing my series on a different device and my email doesn’t work (long story, don’t ask) but I will be able to type a few paragraphs of my story onto this chat because of how my story is written. I divided up the sections into days, so that every time my MC falls asleep, a new section of the chapter or a new chapter starts
Is that okay?

@The-Huntress have you posted the story anywhere? I can probably google it.

is the story currently just paper or is it a word document at the moment?

Word document on a different device, email on this device doesn’t work. I can’t email it to myself.

k, yeah you can try a chapter at a time i guess but if you get the chance try to link it or upload to here.

Okay.

Book 1: Chapter 1: Day 1: I stumbled into a clearing, gasping for breath and freezing cold. Pieces of wood and rocks dug into my legs as I hit the ground, the world spinning all around me. Black spots danced over my eyes when I tried to lift my head. I took a deep breath through my nose, and immediately became so confused I started to get dizzy again. My nostrils filled with the smell of pine, so sticky and sweet I almost gagged. That meant either A: I was in a forest, or B: Grammy got a new pine scented air freshener. I really hope

I like it, good hook. Keeps the character's thoughts going without having a giant paragraph of details about the surroundings(i end up doing that sometimes). Also good job with the initial panic, all my characters end up being government assassins because I'm bad with writing in emotions.

Thank you. I will post more tomorrow.

You said you were bad at writing emotions, how I do it is I imagine my book as a movie. If I were watching this, how would I feel? How would the actors feel? Then I write it down. If it’s first person, I prefer to use body language instead of saying:
”Dylan looked nervous” I would say, “Dylan bit his lip.”

thats a good idea, ill keep it in mind.

I do that for the not first person narrators. For the MC, I use thoughts and body language
