@Sakamoto i wonder if we should change the tag itself?
or maybe add a note to it's usage as i see it alot on id requests

@Memor-X not sure about the usage considering it already has a somewhat clear excerpt. Prefer to rename the tag if possible, like girl-hibiki-yoshizaki or girl-japan-animator-expo

Q: Will there be third season of Nisekoi?

Sujal MotagiIt's been years since I finished Nisekoi, and I've been waiting for a third season but there has been no information/announcement about the release of season 3. But the anime was well received, so why wasn't a third season made? Do you have any idea when it will be released, if it will?

i don't really want to post the link in a comment on the question so i'll post what i'll say here and use the perma link
> you can try animeflix.io/shows/boku-no-hero-academia-3rd-season. It is where I watch al the anime I like but dont know if it is legal or available everywhere.
> For ongoing shows we mostly use the official subs that comes with them but we heavily favor fansubs and BDs over official ones. We update the sources once a BD or a fansub is out. One example is Vinland saga, which is uploaded using the official subs but is replaced a few days later after Foxtrot (fansub group) version is available.
@RigaCrypto looking at the main page it talks about it being a side project of AnimeUltima. googling that i find a link to this animepiracy subredit where they say:
personally i feel legal sites wouldn't use fan subs because they are a violation of copyright. and also taking the subs from BluRay also sounds like piracy

Considering how many questions have been asked about "Will <insert series here> get season N?", I actually want to ask the longest duration between 2 seasons of an anime with considerably strict rules, also to give argument for those kind of questions that you can't really guess it. (example answer: Natsume Yuujinchou season 4-5: 4 years, Attack on Titan seasons 1-2: 5 years). But... will it be on-topic?

12:32 PM
99% AnimeFlix is illegal. They don't have any about page at all, and they use pastery for announcement???

The wonderful world of anime 101, where most fans won't be able to find a legal way to watch the series they like even if they tried. I have lost the count of how many series I can't see because there is no way for me and I don't want to meddle in unofficial streams.

True ;) even learning Japanese won't help because the anime can't be streamed outside Japan anyway, compared to buying digital manga...

@AndrewT. the thing that really destroys everything is the cursed broadcasting exclusives

1:05 PM
@AndrewT. For example, know this from friends.... In Italy One Piece is still hold as an exclusive by a company. They stopped broadcasts of new episodes YEARS ago, at the end of the Fishman Island saga. Since then, they have only broadcasted replica after replica, every time reaching that point and then starting again (or switching to another unfinished broadcast)
Yet, thanks to their exclusive, no one else can buy the new episodes.
Naruto... I think they told me is the same situation - cut near the end.

1:37 PM
@AndrewT. i would say it would. we have a question on the longest title, why not the longest gap between Season 1 and 2
@AndrewT. i did not notice the link. but the lack of an about page i was sorta contributing to it being further bellow what i could see, as i can't actually see any videos so wasn't able to check if they were using a fan dub
@Derpy actually now-a-days it's a bit easier and even with sites that geoblock, the increasing use of VPNs just makes regional licenses pointless

@Memor-X yep, but again, if you use a vpn to watch an anime on Crunchyroll/Funanimation/whatever that isn't available in your region you are still violating licensing. So, still not legal, no matter how easy it is.
What I mean is that here I wasn't talking about how easy is to find subs/streams/downloads for an anime you want to watch, legally or not. I am talking about how HARD it is to try to watch some series legally. Even world-famous ones like One Piece.

1:54 PM
@Derpy actually i don't think so. an argument could be made that using a VPN to stream an anime would be the equivalent to importing the anime yourself
though legality would depend on region and the ToC/EULAof the service
Steam, if i recall, forbids the use of VPNs in their ToC/EULA
@Derpy well depending on the language you want, just buy the home release
region free BluRay Players aren't illegal and you got no complexity of streaming to deal with

@Memor-X To reuse the same example I made before, Chruncyroll can't show One Piece episodes to Italian users. Why? Because it doesn't have the license to do so. Why? Because someone else has the exclusive. On that reasoning, if an Italian user users a VPN, they basically workaround the license of the Italian license holder, so it is probably illegal to do so.
@Memor-X yep, One Piece home release, for just ..... 20-30$ / DVD. A box will probably have.... 10 episode..... by the end of the East-blue arc, you could have bought an IPhone instead

@Derpy hmmmm, to be honest i don't know if it would be illegal. the law just plays catch up with the internet. but doesn't the licences holder in Italy have to actually use it or have it expire?
like it's why Sony did Spider Man and Fantastic Four like they did, they wouldn't just remaster the original films
@Derpy might want to think about getting Collections then
about the same price US but 26 episodes

@Memor-X yep, but remember that they are at episode... 890 by now :P

Q: Should we allow opinion based questions?

Sujal MotagiI think Anime SE is a really good community for Anime/Manga fans to discuss their opinions about animes or mangas and anything related to them. So I think we should allow opinion-based questions and maybe add a new tag for such questions. Please don't downvote this question, I'm justing asking fo...

Hmm? Weird, ANN lists that Crunchyroll broadcasts to Italian viewers, unless the info is outdated...
> Please don't downvote this question
😏

@AndrewT. yep, but on some animes you get the standard....
> Sorry, due to licensing limitations, videos are unavailable in your region: [insert anime name here]
also, If I recall correctly... all those different broadcasters / Tv channerls you see in the list: same company, same owner.
That said I am pretty sure that Crunchy does not allow One Piece streaming in Italy. As I said, that is a big "annoyance factor" to some friends of mine since they only get old episodes on tv

Well, as someone who get the same restriction on Crunchyroll, I can sympathize...

@AndrewT. Yep, but I think that in their case the annoying fact is that Crunchy can't broadcast the anime there because someone else has exclusive distribution rights, but the ones who have those rights are ignoring new episodes since.... 2014 (with a little exception of 15 new episodes in 2018 according to wikipedia)
so, for the last six years no one else has been able to air One Piece and the ones who can... won't.
But you know, we are talking about the same ones that localized Luffy into "Rubber".
And brilliantly tried to call him "Monkey D. Rubber" when the full name become relevant for the plot.

2:32 PM
🤦‍♂️

anyway, for odd reason talking about this remembered me about a manga/anime I saw on Imagine-nation once - only aired in Japan and available as a manga in France.
Wonder if it was released somewhere else. Can't remember the name.
A boy get chosen to pilot via neural-link a police android. During the test (that in reality was done in a VR set, unknown to the boy) the protagonist decides to lose his arm to try to save some hostages.
For some reason I have the title "Automaton" in mind but that is a no.

2:47 PM
looks like a good potential on Science Fiction & Fantasy...

Guys will there be season 3 of nisekoi?

We don't know.
Or... how should we know?

oh, it WAS Automaton, it is just that is still unknown outside Japan, and the name is so generic it hurts.

Q: Was Itachi Jiraiya's source in Akatsuki?

simon01920Jiraiya always knew what is Akatsuki up to. He was always saying that he had "reliable source in Akatsuki." So my question is if it could be Itachi. Because who else could it be? Breakfast RecipeI have found a site Anime Filler List so I want to know that is this real ?

hm off the top of my head, the longest season gap I'm aware of is between Index II and Index II
- Index II aired from October 2010 to April 2011
- Index III aired from October 2018 to April 2019
