Q: Did wizard get involved in muggle armed conflicts?

Jorge CórdobaI’m not familiar with canon work outside the main seven books. We know at least the prime minister of the UK is aware of the wizard existence as, if I recall correctly, he’s notified when Voldemort comes back. Given UK situation during WWII and specifically London bombardment, I was wondering i...

Q: Children’s space book from around 1970

ToddI was in second grade in 1970 and my teacher read a book that I cannot find, but I don’t know the name. All I have is....two main characters maybe young brother and sister, travel to a far away place either a planet or a dream world, and they make friends with a little character named jingles or...

Q: What is the short story set in an apocalyptic or post apocalyptic type setting of an abandoned cityscape?

LysaI remember reading this short story in middle school and I cannot remember the name for the life of me. I think it was set in an abandoned underground subway in nyc, but we don't find that out at all. The way everything is described makes the place sound like a really creepy undiscovered new worl...

@TheLethalCarrot Just a thought, when you're editing info from comments into an ID question (like this), might be good to include an edit summary like "adding info from OP comments".
After the comments get flagged and removed, the edit history looks mighty weird to someone who's not used to it. Like "where the hell did he get that extra info and why's he editing it into someone else's post". And then you can't prove where you got it from without asking a mod.

Fair enough, for people who check it's usually self explanatory though

Yeah I haven't actually seen anyone reacting like "where did he find that info", but it doesn't take much extra effort to write it each time. Especially if your browser has an autocomplete thing so after you write it once you can just type the first letter and get it again next time you need to fill that box.

Aye I'll try and remember

Q: PC Game (DOS?) with crude 3D sphere graphics, ability to play a male or female against creatures in a European town

FuzzyBootsI remember downloading a copy of this game in the early 2000s and trying to play it, but not getting much of anywhere. It was a 3D graphics game, but with the early method of using shaded spheres (ellipsoids?) for the graphics, kind of like Ballz. I didn't get very far in the game, but the idea i...

Q: Old sci fi story about a ship that arrives on an alien planet and watches evolution from bacteria to whatever comes after man

Joao LoboI've been trying to remember a short story which I read in the 1980s in a sci-fi anthology. I recall a ship arriving an alien planet and watching as evolution from bacteria to fish, reptile, mammal, human, ...took only a couple of days. If I remember correctly, it ended with the creature that ev...

Q: Did the 11th Doctor ever use the red button on the end of his sonic screwdriver on screen?

zeelThe prop for the 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver has a red button hidden under the tail cap, is there a scene where Matt Smith is actually seen pressing this button? Or is it just there on the prop and unused? If not, do we know what the intended purpose of the button was? If so, in which episode...

Q: Short story about a woman living in a plague/natural disaster

PBBI am looking for a short story I read in middle school (so probably around 2007 to 2008). It is about a young woman who has recently moved somewhere warm, I believe it was Florida. However, some kind of natural disaster or other apocalyptic event has turned the sky dark and it's very cold. She ...

Q: Name of fantasy novel about flying ships

josefI can't remember too many details from this book I read a few years ago. It had the following elements: Flying ships (large wooden tall ships), I think through magic, but it may have been balloons or a combination. They definitely had sails for lateral propulsion. A rune/glyph based magic syst...

Q: Short story with "sky" in the title

MegI'm looking for a short story in which people know only a virtual existence in separate underground cells. In the ending, perhaps because a real war is waging on the earth's surface, the narrator's cell is bombed or somehow torn open and they see the real sky for the first time. The word "sky" is...

Human by Diego Agrimbau and Lucas Varela is an absolutely great graphic novel.
> Planet Earth: 500,000 years in the future. Humans have been extinct for millennia. Two scientists, Robert and June, have been orbiting the Earth, waiting for the planet to become habitable once more. With the help of a team of robots, they plan to start over from scratch: a new Adam and Eve who won’t make the same mistakes as their ancestors.
> But first Robert has to find June, who seems to have landed somewhere else in this vast jungle—their Eden—full of grotesque creatures and strange primates…
The summary is slightly misleading in which the main character is actually one of the robots, which questions a lot of the stuff Robert does.

Q: Is Oliver Queen dead?

Denis OlukaRecently, during the finale of Crisis on Infinite Earths, Oliver Queen was shown dying while saving the world from anti-monitor. So is he really dead or he is still alive somewhere?

Q: Book involving a supernatural adolescent boy, maybe ages quickly, possibly dies

user128376In 1991/2 I read this book that involved a supernatural boy who emerged somehow, or arrived in a space craft, who was befriended. The being was an adolescent boy, and physically superior to the one who befriended him, but was possibly dying? Maybe he did die? I think I remember a foot race, ma...

I dunno. WW is like Superman; snark isn't something you associate with either.

They may not be the snarkiest, but they do have snarky moments.
Well, comics-wise at least. Live-action movies, not so much
Animated movies and series, it depends
