is a SNOBOL's chance in Hell.
And I basically hate hieroglyphs,
so I won't use APL.

1:47 AM
@CowperKettle I saw Ken Iverson speak once in Chicago. He gave a demonstration of APL. The very next day I did not drop everything and learn it.

Does this look natural?

So... That's not a suite, then.
@Robusto these are good consequences, I'll take those more often please.
Very Hisaishi-esque except not at all. Interesting.

Is this okay? It was engaged by but I changed it to contracted by

You will have made dinner before Bill has come/comes back home
I think the first one

Why? I think both are good
> List of pharmacovigilance requirements of authorized regulatory bodies in Russia and EAEU
Is this of okay, or should it be by?
Or maybe "set by" or "specified by"?

Is there no difference?

@Curio I'm not a native speaker, but I see no difference. Maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks

No problem!
I found this page explaning Future Perfect.
It does not include your Option 1.
But that does not mean it's ungrammatical. I'm not sure. Maybe you can ask this on the main site, or on ELL

> Safety concerns related to the use of the drug product outside of conditions described in the SmPC
I'm trying to find a better formulation.. in violation of conditions?
"not in line with conditions"?
I dunno. Maybe "in violation" is better.

Is there a good synonym of exceedance?

Can one write "Training of the manager on the system"?
The Company shall organize the training of the newly-hired manager on the pharmacovigilance system used in the Company.
It looks a bit out of whack
Maybe it's "training on the use of the system"? But that might be too narrow, because the manager not only uses the system but manages it.
"Training on all aspects of the system"?
Or .. "acquaintance with the system", maybe

@CowperKettle my requirements of you are different to my requirements set by you

1:27 PM
@skullpatrol There are tens of thousands of articles published each year, and it's hard to pin down those whose dire predictions might really come true

2:04 PM
@CowperKettle Yeah, but it's someone's job to read those, right?
@CowperKettle That works.
@CowperKettle I think "specified by" works.
@CowperKettle Maybe "violating conditions"? Sounds more idiomatic to me, and less stilted.
@CowperKettle This sounds really stilted. If they let you say things plainly, try something like "The Company shall train the newly-hired manager on its pharmacovigilance system."

Q: Finding Unstressed Schwa

Justin KyukIn our country, we really don’t have the “unstressed schwa” How do I find this one? is there a technique? How do I find the unstressed schwa with these word? Thanks occur history curious actor frozen

What language is that? Tagalog?
In Russian, every vowel is an unstressed schwa. Including consonants.

Them schwas, so much stress, it's a wonder how they survive.

Two words: vodka.

2:20 PM
@RegDwigнt No, you're a White Russian!

You're out of your element, Vladimir, Ilyich, Ulyanov.

You mean coitus?

How do I transcribe her assistant's laugh in writing?

I think you can only detranscribe it.

Ah thanks. On it.

2:23 PM

Seven likes.
That is one dense population.

Correction. That is two dense populations. Read the list again.

I've never had seven likes on anything that I've said or done.

Boy, it's hard to find a new question on EL&U that Edwin Ashworth hasn't already disapproved of.

I could post one real quick. How about "How's the weather"?

2:28 PM
He's waiting to pounce.

Haha, did Trump just stop payments to the WHO.
Hahahahaha.
Is that his idea of helping.
Fuck me, that man is inventive. Never ceases to amaze.

@RegDwigнt Now you see why Putin elected him.

Yeah.
For the benefit of other readers: that's an old wife's tale. Trump's just broke and penniless, which is why he has a multibillion credit with the Deutsche Bank, which even the Deutsche Bank doesn't want to have. So they sold it off to some other bank, unnamed. And some people speculate that only a Russian bank can be that stupid.

Heh.

Which is why Trump is so pushy for the economy not to collapse. He needs money to pay off his debts.
And his salary, if I may remind you, is $1.
Normally the President gets $400k but Trump said no he'll do it for a dollar.
You get what you pay for, I guess.

2:33 PM
@RegDwigнt Well, that presumes he ever does perform any paying of debt. Which we can find no record of his ever doing.

Deutsche Bank couldn't, either.

QED

They sued each other several times. Good ol' buddies, them.

See, much as I disliked Commerzbank, they would never have tried to prop up Trump. They'd have seen him coming way off.

Yeah I'm with the Commerzbank and let me tell you them's not propping me up at all.

2:37 PM
@RegDwigнt Yeah, he figures if he can't steal much more than $400K while in office he ain't even half trying.

Well, technically I'm with a bank that no longer exists. (Who the fuck wants to be a customer of an institution that openly calls itself "Commerzbank".)

@RegDwigнt Yeah, but you're not a business. If you don't have AG or GmbH after your name, they don't give a shit about you.

Commerzbank bought up that other bank, then they noticed that they had no money. And then the mortgage crisis came. So they had to be nationalized by the German state for a couple years, as part of that appalling and obscene bailout.
At the beginning of my last paragraph, Commerzbank sent me a letter saying we no longer want you. At the end of it, they sent me another saying ooops butterfingers, please stay.

That's not the old Commerzbank. They'd never have sent a letter of apology.

That's what being owned by the German state will do to you.
Fucking commies! USA! USA!
@Robusto that is a verbatim quote from that first letter. Did you ghostwrite it? I'm flattered.
BRADIO are amazing.
I've recommended them before and I will recommend them again.

2:48 PM
@RegDwigнt I'm glad they kept some of my work around after I left.

Yeah'd be a pity to let it go to waste.

BTW, please change "you're" to "your" in that comment for me?
My fingers are stupid.
Gracias.

Well fuck that pings myself I forgot.
This site is very chill. Most everything I do these days is edit your comments.

Which is why we keep you around.

There was another one a couple days back that I fixed and you never even noticed because you were like three hours gone by that time.

2:51 PM
@RegDwigнt I guess they couldn't find a better looking dancer, huh?

@Robusto anyway, that is a verbatim quote from the second letter.
@Robusto those are the guys in the band.

@RegDwigнt My point exactly. Shoulda hired a hot chick. I'm just saying.

Hot chicks have to stay at home, too.
Mar 13 at 22:00, by RegDwigнt
@Cerberus bars and discos getting closed as well now. And all kinds of prostitution are temporarily on hold.

@RegDwigнt Hot chicks have cameras too, though.

They can only do stop-motion animation in front of the bathroom mirror, tho.
And it's not much of an animation, just 5000 identical pictures.

2:53 PM
@RegDwigнt You'd be surprised what they can do in front of the bathroom mirror.

They couldn't surprise me even by stopping their payments to the WHO in front of the bathroom mirror.
I've seen things.
Hm. What are the other two instruments?
I guess we'll never know.

I'm guessing the alto clef one is an alto. Or else a viola.

Yes, that's a rhetorical question of course. First violin and viola, obviously.
But you'd be surprised how often people do this when it's not obvious at all.
It's like they are trying to not have their music played. Pulling every last trick in the book.

Off to shower. Back later.

See you then.
Or maybe later still, I need to play some more violin.

3:06 PM
@RegDwigнt Including making the melody line look like it should be an Eb instrument. (And then having then people find that doesn't sound good, and giving up.)

If you're not a string player and don't know what's happening, don't watch his fingers that move a lot. That's actually easy.
Instead, watch his bow that looks like it's doing nothing at all. Yawn.
Because actually it is doing something that is plain impossible. Violates the laws of physics.
