@ShadowThePrincessWizard Not just that - it is broken too

9:27 AM
Well...

@ShadowThePrincessWizard it was kinda fixed - by replacing each page with a redirect to a random youtube video

oh well, not a problem.
I am not that interested in the recycled hats too
Even if we weren't in Ragnarok mode....
They kinda chose the boring ones IMHO.
At least give us the Cupcake one.

1 hour later…

First attempt, not really satisfied.

@Derpy didn't even look...
@Derpy what is it?

the colors are too similar - conversion is bound do fail
I will try and see if I can manage to salvage it with some manual editing but I don't have many hopes.

11:21 AM
@Derpy oh. Very accurate then, but still don't know what it is without Googling. :)

@ShadowThePrincessWizard see this. Obviously, spoilers from the anime/manga, but I don't think you would care.
As for why this character...

@ShadowThePrincessWizard see the link. See if that gives you any clue.

Mitty... lost everything and was turned into that mangled form you can see on the left.
something becoming a mangled copy of its former self.
Without emotions or pain.
can see some improvement, have to work on the hat

2 hours later…
3:05 PM
That's very good.

3:54 PM
tried with a customized color palette.
still, Mitty just seems a white blob.
The knitting tool obviously isn't very fitting for figures that are almost just one color.

Yeah, the tool is pretty basic.

@ShadowThePrincessWizard the problem is not the tool, the problem is that actually simulates Cross-stitch
cross stitch has a problem - color zones don't have a border.
to separate two zones of the same color you need a third one in the middle.
and the separator... can't be smaller than a single dot.
From what I know there is a technique to stitch actual lines (can't recall the name - try asking Tink) but obviously the tool doesn't emulate that.
so, less colors mean that you can't actually simulate all the colors in a picture, but more colors can also work against you when you have small dettails
