@GodEmperorDune don't think you can find a quote which wouldn't be bad or stupid

@TimStone ranting as in on twitter? because that's a different level to just normal ranting in the White House
because of the global audience and you don't really think China ISN'T looking at his twitter account
hell, i would if i was them. a team of archivers to record every tweet his makes in case of any gaffs which could help
@TimStone i assume that's because he's not in in a border town and there's no migrants or Dems to pick on in the area too

this was reported yesterday i think but this is like more details

4:00 AM
@TimStone do they need a heads up? pretty sure a subpoena doesn't need one but that's coming from watching TV shows like Law and Order and The Good Wife/Fight

@Memor-X nope

@GodEmperorDune i figured TV wasn't lying about that

Trump jokes he could stay in office for “10 or 14” years http://hill.cm/QN3HCby
sure, "jokes"

@GodEmperorDune not without trampling the Constitution on term limits
but yeh, like i said yesterday, he's not joking, if he was he wouldn't have upped from +2 years on current term to 10-14 years

@Memor-X It's unusual here because the Senate Intelligence Committee is headed by a Republican and usually committees try to be accommodating in general. Which tbh, they needn't be, but
McConnell also reiterated that this was a "done deal" yet it looks like Burr really wants to talk to Don Jr about something

@Nzall ok yeh i know one of those which if it's what's playing in my head now is in english. guess the illiteracy is either "he can't read English well" or "selective illiteracy"

The average adult in the USA spends $1,497 a month on nonessential items. All told, that's roughly $18,000 a year on things we can all do without. http://bit.ly/2vIbNZZ
Note: those number are per month

Ah yes "rideshares", aka transporation without a car
And "online shopping" because clearly if it's bought on the internet ti's not needed!
And of course "personal grooming" isn't a thing that's needed at all

8:57 AM
@Nzall I don't believe those numbers, as an average that's insane.
Unless 'nonessential' is anything except basic accommodation and calorie requirements.

See also: Personal grooming being on the list

@Kevin Also, 94 USD per MONTH on grooming? I get a hair cut like once per month for 20 EUR, and buy like 4 shampoo bottles per year for another 20 per year. How do you get a number of 93 USD? Do they get biweekly manicures?

@TimStone It's unfortunate that this is even a job perk.

Note that they shot the guy in his vehicle as he was driving his vehicle in an attempt to flee police

Super safe thing to do, after all they saw it in a movie once!

So while he definitely did have a gun I'm not sure how they reached any conclusion about where it was at that point in time

I agree with Leader McConnell: this case is closed. The Mueller Report cleared @DonaldJTrumpJr and he’s already spent 27 hours testifying before Congress. @TimStone ummm, but the report didn't clear Trump despite his barging. even Barr said this

This is about Don Jr
Who the report also didn't really clear but we like to pretend I guess
I mean it basically said he was too dumb from the testimony available to probably have done an actual crime
Like it was definitely a criminal action but maybe his brain works not great and he didn't realise that

@TimStone GOP: hey, we might want to just double check that Trump is as clean as we delude ourselves he is. lets get his son in here to speak to us since Trump wont have a problem with us doing it

@TimStone ahhh right. my mind keeps forgetting the Jr at the end

Ugh

how many layers of impunity is "can not only get away with murder, can successfully convict someone else for a murder I did"
fuck

Love too codify the bully's "you made me do this" into police action

What happened in the original case? I can't work it out from that article

The police set up a sting operation to arrest Tate, who attempted to rob the person doing the sting, and another officer shot him (the police said this was at gunpoint but I think that was a lie? and that a gun was found in Tate's home but not on his person)
Masonique Sanders was Tate's girlfriend and purportedly helped commit the armed robberies, but I think she wasn't even necessarily involved in the robbery that happened during the sting?
So because she helped him with other armed robberies and the police killed him while doing a robbery she is…somehow responsible for his death

3:15 PM
Aaaah
That's confusing enough that I'm not embarrassed for not working it out

It's extremely dumb

@TimStone I'm sorry I'm still stuck on "they didn't just grab the app store badge from developer.apple.com"

I guess that would depend on what's in it

9:01 PM
@TimStone ELI5 please?

The judge seems to be saying what is permissible here is very clear cut and that arguing about the point further would be a waste of time. So they're going to have a hearing where the judge will ask some questions to determine which side of the fence this falls on and will rule immediately on the case based on that

Every day is so dumb

@TimStone Part of his HBO promotional deal where he uses Game of Thrones fonts and soon will begin repping their sure-to-be-highly-offense alternative history Confederacy show.
Because this season of Game of Thrones has shown us we definitely want more off-the-cuff writing and showrunning from those two, especially with problematic material.
