@Ælis I've overheard several conversations where someone asked someone if they knew what cultural appropriation was, and the person responded with, "Excuse me? I'm a sociologist. That's literally my job." Now, that's in America, not France. It's certainly a conversation that I would want to have about it, but I really support motosubatsu's advice to introduce the conversation with language that indicates that you think she knows more about it than you. If that turns out to not be the case, you can change the language around as needed. — Ed Grimm 1 min ago

It can be good for an answer to not to directly address the question. Sometimes the best answer does. I know of no objective way to determine whether a question has an XY problem. It seems gilhad feels it does. It's not necessarily a reason to delete or down-vote an answer. But in this case, there is that note. — Matthew Elvey 51 secs ago

What do you mean "approach the police with a problem that hasn't happened yet"? It's happening every damn day and you have audio records and a log to prove it. This is not about interpersonal matters or someone vandalizing your car. This is about people harrasing you every day in your own apartment for no reason at all. Go to the police before your mental health suffers. Document their trampling and other actions and make their live hell for a change. — Elmy 1 min ago

@Muze This chat is not the place for you to ask questions while you are suspended on our main site.

@ACuriousMind what am allowed to do?

@Muze Nothing. If your chat parent site was Physics, you would be suspended from chat entirely, too. You are not welcome here as long as you are suspended on the main site.

I'm sorry
Please forgive me
I swear all I did was up vote and edit and if you look had a positive effect.
