Seems like people think MSE is scary, maybe better comment moderation could help.

@thesecretmaster The issue there is that on MSE, the problem is toxicity. Perspective isn't really useful enough yet to be of much use, and it's rather a lot of comments to look at manually. (But then again, that's how IPS was...)

So, could be worth a shot.

Seems kinda similar to IPS, but I'm asking you because you have a much better idea of how it impacted IPS than I do.

On IPS the problem was more chatty comments. On MSE it's more toxic comments. The bot definitely helped on IPS because every other comment was flaggable. On MSE, that's not the case. On the other hand, having improved oversight like The Closet would in all likelihood help catch more toxic stuff... if anyone is watching the comment stream.

Hrm. I guess also writing regex for toxic comments would be waaaay subtler than writing regex for chatty comment.

Sure. I can't promise the same amount of... presence, I guess, as with IPS, though.
