Why isn't there a push to publish papers and research in both paper and well video form? This wouldn't be conducive to all types of research but some I feel like would benefit greatly whether lecture or video documentation of the experiments.

@William In my opinion, I can read the abstract of a paper and skim through it, I can then decide if I want to spend hours (or even days) to read the details of the paper. For a video, I can't do the same. Either I invest an hour (sometimes even longer) to watch the video then I know the video is not worth my time or just ignore it totally, in which case I might miss a good one. I had good and bad experience in videos, but I rarely waste time on papers.

@William I think JoVE tries to do that, but I am not sure how successful they are.

What if these people in SE I can talk to all become people I can see in reality?
